CBC’s The Big Fix series features municipal infrastructure stories and Municipal Infrastructure Deficit Calculator.

As part of The Big Fix, a special series on Canada's crumbling infrastructure, the CBC has developed a Municipal Infrastructure Deficit Calculator. The goal of this tool is to shrink the municipal infrastructure gap to zero dollars, without running a surplus.

This interactive calculator allows the user to model different funding/revenue scenario and illustrates what changes would need to occur to close the funding gap. To see the calculator click here

The series, which runs from November 20-26, visits communities across the country to examine what they’re doing about their infrastructure situation, what's needed most and how Canadians will pay for it all. Coverage includes CBC Television, CBC News Network, CBC Radio One, CBCNews.ca and the CBC News Mobile App.
